It wasn't a job offer but it was from someone who wanted to know how I was doing. Lifted my spirits immensely. I have a few interviews and some prospects but nothing made me feel as good as hearing from a former coworker.

Good for you for having a HEART!!!!! I know that I am finding out since this layoff who my friends really were/are. Most of my egotistical male counterparts AND DM only cared about themselves ALL OF THE TIME....THAT was obvious! So, I have NO expectations that I will be hearing from any of them! What is nice for me are the doctors/staff members that are calling me with encouraging words and how I had a positive impact in their office!

Their time is coming. More layoffs will come. So, don't worry, they are next

Because their parents suck and they were put down and discouraged their whole lives and now do the same to others. Very sad cycle.
