So you want to work on a sales contract? Just a friendly reminder these are "rent a rep" positions. More than half of CNS contracted employees w Janssen (6730) have been removed or will be by years end. Tough to swallow for many but this is reality. Resume ready!

Does this contract interact with Janssen at all? Meetings? Or other Janssen divisions?

For example, do the Janssen CNS reps interact with the Janssen diabetes reps? There seems to be so many contrats and reps!!!!!

Contracting is part of most pharma/biotech companies long term business strategy and is expected to continue to grow. Additionally, companies like Quintiles have a big book of business and can likely retain their employees should a contract not be renewed. How often have you seen big pharma retain their people? Rarely because they are trying to cut overhead. BI, AZ, Novo, and Lilly all just had huge layoffs. If you want job stability, pharma is not the right industry for you.

You forgot to mention the huge Sanofi layoff before Christmas. Also, Novo is planning more layoffs by March and Teva will be laying off (Pain Division) in the next month or two. :(

That is not the case at all. More than half of CSO reps on CNS contract with Janssen were let go end of December 2016. And guess what? Not one of them had an opportunity to jump onto another Quintiles contract. Why? Because there were no contracts in their respective areas. If the company paying for Quintiles decided to cut people, contract reps are first to go.
