Just a paycheck

Seriously can't stand this job, it's Sunday and I have anxiety that tomorrow is Monday. It's become nothing more than a check the box job. How many calls did you have, did you call on the "right" docs, did you use the detail piece, how long did you stay on each page, did you leave a sample or card? Fill out this tracker so we know you "moved" a doc in our stupid little boxes.
Not did you have a good discussion, did you actually change impressions or thoughts, did you learn something new, did they share an experience with the med? Did you help the staff?
Seriously the way they've destroyed this job with metrics a monkey could do it. It's become completely demotivating and monotonous. I'll do it until I can find something better, I should have known that it would have been the same ole same ole since it's the same robots at the helm. Now with this completely stupid NBU Co-promote it's even worse!
I'm leaving for vacation soon and I seriously never want to come back maybe I'll just stay in the Caribbean and sell trinkets on the beach, I'd be happier.

When she said all that is needed is another person to show up, hand out a coupon and sample and market share will increase. Her 'market research' told her so. So, therefore, yes, you are correct, a monkey could show up with a sample in one hand and a coupon in the other and be just as valuable and successful as you. Feel valued now as a specialty rep? What stress are you feeling since it is so easy, a monkey could do it?

So WTF do we need a nitwit like her? Any fool knows we're nothing more than visitors in a Drs office. We need worthless jerks aka management to tell us this?
A monkey would be bored doing this job.
I stay sane by simply taking it for what it's worth. Minimal work, great salary, and make a shitload with my side business. Pharma is a freaking joke. Feel bad for the fools who think it's a career.
