Jumping ship for Merck

Happy for ya but not exactly a mind blowing move....
I'd be more inspired to hear examples of Forest reps attaining positions at some of the top tier companies. Anyone had success moving to Oncoloy? Celgene? Genentech? Similar?

There are so many ex-Forest people with tremendous jobs. I run into or get a message from at least one ex-Forest person almost every week who is doing very well elsewhere.

This whole concept that people from Forest will never be hired anywhere else because "Forest is so bad" is a complete joke. Probably spread by those who left and couldn't get a better job due to their own shortcomings or inability to interview well.

If you want to leave, sharpen your resume, practice interviewing (it is a skill that diminishes if you never use it), and stop worring about the haters. If you want to stay know that Mgmt will be so pre-occupied with what's going on with Executive Mgmt that they probably will leave us alone more than they do now. And if we are going to get sold, stick around, ride the wave, and get a package - especially you old-timers.

I want to thank Forest for one thing. You are such a low life, bottom feeder company that it makes me love my new device job even more. You really truly suck in every way.

SO WELL SAID!!!

I worked for FRX for 4 years and was able to leverage that experience into a 6 figure salary in Med sales. You can spin your company how ever you need to! Don't let it spin you!

I'm ready to sign up for one any month now. Until then play the game, go home, and kick your dog (not literally)

But let's be honest...aren't they ALL sinking ships???

Perhaps so, but leadership at the highest levels at Merck admit this themselves. This is not a good thing. What's more they are using their employees as shark food to be sure that they are okay when they eventually fall into the water. If you think you are going to Merck to be part of the new evolution of the company be prepared to put up with one of the most miserable corporate cultures and then wait it out until 2017 when things MIGHT turn around.
