Team- With regards to enforcement, things are way too complex. These are 20 odd companies and they are not going to take it at face value. The truth is they will SETTLE for decent money to make things go away and promise decent control and all the other horse shit.

The bigger problem for us is our existing "leaders" will still be in charge and getting ready to conspire their next legal/illegal heist. They know they can keep doing this and the penalties for them are insignificant.

DS, AG, KS and their US cronies AA et al (and the mastermind in India -some guy called Valia) just treat this as nuisance and cost of doing business, nothing more.

If Sun US is serious, AG along with the Taro CEO, UB should call an employee meeting. Answer questions from employees.
1. At the minimum explain why Taro/Sun has been named in the lawsuit? Did the US attorney general did not have anything better to do? Did the 44 states did not have anything better to do?
2. Why are top level employees interacting with top level employees at other pharma? Even if they did not break any law, are the ethical boundaries that they violated?
3. Our top CEO settles insider trading charges for $100K. Taro may settle the lawsuit for some price. Is this how you want Sun to carry business? When we employees make a mistake or commit a crime, can wwe also pay our way out? To meet sales targets can we fudge numbers, get a hefty bonus and if we are caught, we pay a small fine to HR and claim no wrongdoing and continue the business. Is this is a fair approach that Sun can implement at all levels?

Come on AG, if you are reading this or anyone who talks to the management, tell them to have some guts and come before the employees !!!!

Right on, I agree but it won’t happen.
The best scenario fir these effers is that this price fixing thing will permit every Fed ( and the 44 states) agencies to subpoena every single email, including those where known wrongdoings are discussed. Not limited to Taro/price fixing but to everything Abhay had his hands in as Taro CEO and as Sun US CEO.

Often the Feds /States come in looking for one thing but end up finding a much bigger ‘fish’

I think there are a lot of people here or who have left who would sing like a canary when approached by the OIG.

Yup. I think home office Legal and HCNA will have some explaining to do.

I don’t get this. It is as though you are cheering while your city burns. Senseless drone complainers.

The GC SM doesn’t have a clue about pharma -he was a banking lawyer. Whoever decided to hire him didn’t want to be told how to conduct pharma business legally- just give the appearance they did. Why you think he’s GC and chief compliance officer- he has the top legal position and the position that’s supposed to watch over his position. It’s a joke and the DOJ will be coming for him soon. The more Sun reps commit fraud the more the Chief compliance officer SM overlooks illegal conduct because he’s more concerned with his bonus. He’ll be going to jail first.

Governance as it relates to Legal and HCNA is inherently incestuous at Sun.
It’s the fox watching the hen house. More fodder for when the Feds raid his house at dawn just like they did with the Taro CFO.

He’ll be lucky to bunk up with Michael Cohen.

Spoke with GC a couple times and each time he told me to ignore CD and he would “take care of it.” I’ve been at a handful of pharma companies and the compliance there actually did things. HCNA is a paper dragon and GC is fine with it.

All of legal and compliance will be grilled by OIG.
Funny initials, CD ...
