Team- With regards to enforcement, things are way too complex. These are 20 odd companies and they are not going to take it at face value. The truth is they will SETTLE for decent money to make things go away and promise decent control and all the other horse shit.
The bigger problem for us is our existing "leaders" will still be in charge and getting ready to conspire their next legal/illegal heist. They know they can keep doing this and the penalties for them are insignificant.
DS, AG, KS and their US cronies AA et al (and the mastermind in India -some guy called Valia) just treat this as nuisance and cost of doing business, nothing more.
If Sun US is serious, AG along with the Taro CEO, UB should call an employee meeting. Answer questions from employees.
1. At the minimum explain why Taro/Sun has been named in the lawsuit? Did the US attorney general did not have anything better to do? Did the 44 states did not have anything better to do?
2. Why are top level employees interacting with top level employees at other pharma? Even if they did not break any law, are the ethical boundaries that they violated?
3. Our top CEO settles insider trading charges for $100K. Taro may settle the lawsuit for some price. Is this how you want Sun to carry business? When we employees make a mistake or commit a crime, can wwe also pay our way out? To meet sales targets can we fudge numbers, get a hefty bonus and if we are caught, we pay a small fine to HR and claim no wrongdoing and continue the business. Is this is a fair approach that Sun can implement at all levels?
Come on AG, if you are reading this or anyone who talks to the management, tell them to have some guts and come before the employees !!!!
