John, we ran out of rungs on the ladder, there are no promotions left. We can however, give you some additional responsibility if that makes you happy.

How about, new chemical entity discovery and development? Sounds like a piece of pie for a Harvard man. We'll give you four hours per week for this item.

I have to agree with John. Lilly has the right CEO and the right strategy. It's the 40,000 incompetent employees that is dragging the company down. If he could just outsource the 40,000, Lilly's future would be brighter than ever. Why can't all of you just understand the superior intellect of this god-like man they call John.
