Our distinguished leader is one of the most substantial contributors to the campign coffers of President Obama. As such, he recently attended a Whitehouse dinner for the elite donors. Hey John, how about giving Lilly employees a little of that excess wealth you have accummulated.

Bring Sidney back, he was 10 times the leader than John was and was willing to take a cut in his own pay instead of cutting employees.

John only knows how to send out annoying voice mail messages. Reminds me of the commercial when the boss asks the co-worker to send him an email instead of talking to him. We should all call and leave him a 10 min voice mail, see how long he listens. Oh wait, his AA will have to listen to them, since he doesn't listen to voice mail.

Only thing I get out of it is, "I thank you for everything that you do". Which means, I have no idea what you do, but keep doing it so I can make more money.

Another example of the above: John goes to a big fundraiser for the president, then asks Bart Peterson to send a letter to retirees requesting them to contact their federal legislators....to try to turn around some policy issue instituted by the very president John gave $$$$$$ to for his re-election. Is this a great company or what!

Oh, and by the way loyal retiree, your health premiums are going up.....but please send those letters and make those phone calls to you congressmen to help save Lilly.

He spends more time in DC and on television for his own PR benefit, so when Lilly is sold he has a high visibility or lobbyist job in DC. Being CEO of Lilly makes you mone but it's not glamorous like a DC job where you hob-nob with the rich and famous. Kindler at Pfizer did the same thing until the BOD kicked him out. John playing the same game while pharma is getting screwed by both parties.
