Knowing that most cafephama visitors are less than pleased with their current situation, I ask for an objective snapshot of AGN. I've seen where it's not the best company and not the worst. Your thoughts?
Try driving 4000 miles a month for a 1 percent raise every year, listening to air headed pea brains make excuses for poor execution of the sales forecasts and realize that the company is run by a slew of corporate raiders who line their pockets with your hard earned bonus money. At least in Egypt they get to twitter and facebook their dissatisfactions. Here all we do is have moron meetings in Dallas and sing karaoke songs and get pissed on while our families wonder why we put up with the selfish corrupt tyranny that is Allergan. Why didn't I take that job with Dermix? Where is that recruiters number again?
I agree with every word of anonymous above after spending SEVERAL years there. If you want to breathe AGN with every breath, then go ahead and drink the kool-aid, but don't expect ANY real appreciation OR loyalty. The babysitters they have are just that - who knows why managers are managers - it certainly isn't because of successes THEY have personally had in the field. What makes the gurus in Irvine think THE (mostly) losers they hire for managers can motivate and coach their teams to be winners? Makes no sense... Good luck!
If you're looking for a job in pharma you'll be better served to look elsewhere.
If you're looking and checking in from an executive's point of view it's easy to see that AGN is run by a bunch of inexperienced kids.
If you're checking in for some investor's insight you'll see that the employees' satisfaction is so low that there are major problems yet to be addressed.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with all of these posts. very disappointing, no time for family or social life, more administrative than sales. But, I have a job....be careful what you wish for.
