Januvia

Thats funny...Physicians dont even know what Onglyza is and you think they are going to write Kombiglyze?

We are in trouble. Kombiglyza is once a day. When will we get a once a day combo? In my territory alot of Janumet is used and once a day will be a big advantage especially since the BMS rep has been in the territory for years . Any suggestions will be helpful

Ours is right around the corner but in the meantime once a day will sell . You are fucked

Mine either, but it is just because I am so brilliant, accomplished, and successful. Most of the clinics in my territory would go under if I were not there. Merck is so fortunate. Wow........

So you're implying those are my thoughts? In my region the failure of Onglyza is mostly due to formulary and the fact that onglyza has nothing to offer over Januvia.

How did that POS drug (Onglyza) make it through the FDA...drug interractions in the very group that don't need drug interractions and now an 'INFECTION' warning in the circular! What doc except an idiot would write that drug given the pharmaco of Januvia! That shit is the very reason the other DPP-4's were not approved and sent back to the drawing board! BMS must have some good mojo at the FDA! Have they been kissing Nissen's ass!

dpp-4's are a marketing gimick. sfu's are more effective and just as well tolerated and available at wal-mart for $4. Same marketing plan as arb's versus aces. another pharma rip off.

Who says pharma marketing isn't worthwhile?? Merck's marketing boys and girls were on their way to nirvana with VIOXX before Gilmartin's folly.

exactly so. vioxx was no more effective than naprosyn but marketing sold the cox-2's as if thousands and thousands of nsaid users were dropping over from ulcers and gi bleeds, when the reality is serious gi bleeds occur less than .5%. meanwhile you charge $5 a pill. Little cv problem? oops who knew? Oldest marketing since the "medicine show." Market a problem that isn't even there then guess what? we got the solution to the problem. same with the dpp-4's. "Dr. hypoglycemia is a MAJOR problem with sfu's..." It's all marketing. Januvia,McRibs, tobacco,Vioxx,"you want fries with that?" Whats the difference. Who says it doesn't work? Or pharma doesn't need reps?

sooo...what you're saying is efficacy matters. januvia gives a mean .7 reduction in A1C. were is the the benefit to that? how many diabetics to goal on januvia? get a little over 1.0 by adding metformin, januvia/janumet is a third line add-on at best. by that time you're better off just going on insulin.

Yep, all a gimick. Kinda like your wife telling you that it's okay because size doesnt matter...

Please don't promulgate the porn/sex shop/enlargement pill or device gimmick. Yes, size does matter. But for a majority of women, a phallus that is too big is much more of a problem for them than one that is smaller than "average" in studies of sexual compatibility. My own marriage failed from this problem so I know only too well that size matters.
