This guy is a new dm (less than a year). How is he working for the Mississippi team if at all?

Total boob, enthusiasm doesn't make up for lack of market knowledge, but he is the right demographic for the company and geography. Took a hit when KM left, retired, or whatever.

Did I mention that nothing you do will be right unless you do it the way he wants to do it.He is a joke. He pretends to know everything about everything and it gets old after a while. Could not imagine working under him as a rep. Lets here from some of the Mississippi reps. How much of a power trip has he taken. Do they make a tabogin large enough for his shinny head. I imagine it got quite a bit larger when he became a manager. Look out Mississippi reps, he will let you do all the work and then take credit for everything you've done. Just watch.
At least you don't have the old manager CC!I would agree with post above. We all know that demographics play a major role when hiring at any level. He got the job for one reason. He is a black male who is extremely well spoken and has a large personality. that doesn't make him more qualified than any of the other people who applied for the job. I hear that the other managers in the Region don't like him very much either. He needs to make sure he has something worth saying before he gets the idea that he needs to be heard. He will never make a good manager until he can listen to the more seasoned managers. he thinks he is better than everyone.
Hey there Southern Colleagues: I went through initial training with Jason when were both first hired by Novartis in 2005. Yes he has a large personality, but most of us do; so what if his is larger. The more time I spent with him, the more I realized several things:
1) He is a highly moral person
2) He doesn't discriminate among cliques or get himself involved in cliques. That's why he's well liked.
3) He didn't hog the spotlight; he was quick to give praise when others did well
4) If he's a DM for less than a year, then he's right where he should be.....learning the marketplace.
5) I was hired by one of the few sales forces turning a profit w/in Novartis: quite an honor. It took me a year and a half to learn the job and I'm kicking butt. He will too.
6) From reading the prior post, at least one person "gets" Jason: he treats people well and he cares
7) The rep who said he wants things done his way: well, duh, he's the boss. My advice: do it his way get his input then diplomatically bring up your point of view. THAT'S THE WAY THE CORPORATE WORLD WORKS.
8) My Novartis philosophy: if what I'm being asked to do doesn't (a) violate my moral ethics, (b) compromise my integrity), or (c) make me look bad, I'll do it. So what, who cares? Give them what they want.....it won't kill. Get of your high horse....that's why it's a J-O-B.

Ain't that right. She was a nightmare.
