I've been faking doc signatures!!!!

why would you commit a federal crime. if/when u are caught, PDMA law is very explicit. Company must report you to the feds.. and you are subject to prosecution.

seems like a stupid thing to do just to get back at your employer.

This person obviously is a troll who read the last thread where people were talking about having to get 7-10 sigs a day, you know, normal Pharma policy, and decided to be funny and start a thread about faking sigs. Person probably doesn't even work for the company. Thank you, don't come again! :)

Any smart rep would sign a Dr name to check the box. I know at least 5 other reps in my district that do it. It keeps our new DM off our back

Yes, a smart rep would think it's ok to forge a doctors signature just to keep a DM off their back. Or, a smart rep would sit down with his/her DM and go over what's realistic in their territory for signatures per day and maybe, just maybe, actually work a full day. I know, 9:30-4 is pretty rough, but it will help with the amount of sigs you get and also the urge to forge and not only lose your job, but also face legal ramifications. So, yea, you keep being a "smart" rep. I'm just gonna do my job the right way and not worry about it.

I completely agree. I worked for another company a few years ago and forged some siggys. Got caught, fired and did 3 months in jail (I got butt shagged my second night there). It's just not worth it.

My DM would never sit down to discuss the appropriate number of sigs a day, mostly because of his RD. Its out of touch expectations and fear of losing their jobs that drive reps to break the rules.

Wow, that really sucks for you. I'd hate to be in your division/territory with your DM. At that point, if I had to cheat in order to not get fired or micro managed, id be looking for a new job. Fortunately for me, my DM is great, and we have sat down and discussed realistic call expectations. If you are that scared and faking sigs cause of your DM, just leave. Not worth it. They send copies of the signatures gathered to the doctors and the doctors have to sign off that it is there signature. Just spoke with one the other day who reported one that didn't look like his at all and he noted he wasn't working that day. Rep got fired from that company instantly.

I have a friend who reps for WC, he would share everything with his manager...numbers were good and thought that his manager was just trying to be his friend....well no manger at WC is a reps friend....keep your mouth shut.....do your job and be quite....my friend would tell his manager everything, I need to pick up the kids or leaving the territory early today etc...now HR is looking into my friends calls and the manager has no idea why...my friends sells are on the top and couldn't keep his mouth shut....my advice...reps do your job and treat your boss like a customer... Fake signing is one thing, buy never become friends with management!

As a Manager this post is fake. Signatures are scanned daily and if there is any deviation to previous signatures it will be tagged for further investigation. The reps GPS tracking will be viewed over the past few months and a conclusion will be done.

The GPS devices are in the electronics we use and also in our cars. The devices are installed on them before we take delivery. I found the one in my car under the drivers seat and I disconnected it. A month later I got an email from fleet saying my car needed service and to take it to the assigned dealership.

That may be true but if you are a rep crushing your numbers no one will ever question your signatures and whether or not they match up. However, if you are a low performing rep, this gives management an easy reason to let you go.
I have also been in the office when the staff has received a phone call from a pharmaceutical company asking about whether or not a rep was in there, at a certain time on a certain date. The offices actually laugh on the HQs of pharmaceutical companies because they are some of the dumbest employees out there when it comes to tracking field sales. One office told me that one time a company called about a rep and she said that they weren't there, come to find out they had all of this paperwork that was faxed over basically asking the staff to put in writing that the rep wasn't there. After that incident, the staff told me that no matter who calls them, they simply say, yes they were here in order to avoid paperwork.

Absolute BS,they are Huge Privacy issues at risk

I worked for the company over 3 years. I made a lot of money and got out before things got too bad as PHARMA and compliance bs finally caught up. I know many reps faked signatures and didn't work full days. If there was any tracking these people woud have been fired. It is illegal and a privacy issue. My advice is to look elsewhere for a job if you want to be in pharma. WC has a lot to learn and the road will be long and bumpy!
