If you want to start a new business, build a bridge or a road, build a new home or factory it can take years just to get through our regulatory process.

Remember how long it took the Gummint to get to work on the Gulf oil spill?

Remember how the US could not accept help from overseas because the foreign sailors were not members of a union?

Remember how the thousands of employees the government hired to clean up the spill were only allowed to work for six hours per day because of Labor department regulations?

Remember how long they sat around waiting for the go ahead from the EPA?

Remember that when BP wanted to start the cleanup the Coast Guard wouldn't let them start for two weeks because they did not have the proper life preservers on board?

We are our own worst enemy.
