It is really quiet

WP and Valeant, once they get in control of a company the company no longer exists. It is either absorbed into a larger corporation or is left to die a slow death without any money invested in the upkeep.

Unless you have the money to buy the companies before WP and Valeant get to them there really is no hope. The company is gone.

If you are an employee and do not like the WP/Valeant business then you only have one choice. Get a job at a company that is right for you.

It sucks to have to move on but the sooner you realize that working at a WP/Valeant company is not part of your career plan or your goal in life then the better it will be for you. If your career just has to do with collecting a paycheck without any other goal then you might like working for WP/Valeant as that is what they are all about. Make money at any cost. Nothing necessarily wrong with that as that is what most companies are about but if you want more in life you are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I'm not so sure about all that. We actually saw the ranks swell under the ownership of WP here @ B+L. A lot of new positions mysteriously appeared out of thin air frequently. Some of the titles almost comical. The almost weekly announcements of new directors and v-presidents became quite nauseating. B+L had always been top heavy, and was even more so by the time Valeant sucked it up. WP was spending some money somewhere. It may not have been on D+R, but at a minimum is was definitely on executive payroll.

You can hear a pin drop.

2013 performance reviews are supposed to be this week. It would make since for layoffs to be happening at the same time. After all, if everyone is meeting with their manager to discuss raises/bonuses, you can blind side any of us that are being let go.
Rumor is that early morning meetings with the boss are a bad sign.
I Expect the quiet to end soon.

Troll!

Head of which company. Valeant or Bausch & Lomb?

Ignore this idiot. This obviously was posted by someone who thinks B+L resides at a singular address covering a 4 county area in 1/3 of a state in the U.S. and doesn't realize it is a global company comprising multiple product lines, thousands of employees, a myriad of manufacturing and distribution sites, and offices all over the planet, peddling a near limitless array of SKUs. This moron might have as well announced one of the custodians in Greenville retired. Would've been equally meaningful and useful info.
