The company is essentially bankrupt already, and as of last August already had more than $1.6 million in unpaid hosting fees.
But when the company finally crashes, trump won’t lose money. In fact, he’ll claim he never heard of the thing… although maybe it brought him coffee one time.
Despite not investing a single penny, Donny Disaster was given 90% of the stock. And despite being given 90% of the stock for 0% of the effort, he wanted more. Both Don Jr. and Eric demanded shares for… doing nothing. Daddy demanded that the people who DID finance the company hand over some of their shares to Melania, even though it would COST them (taxes and penalties) to give away everything they’d worked for.
All of which begs the usual question: Why does anyone work for Donald J. Trump?
Truth Social was always destined to fail. trump has 176 million followers on Twitter, despite having been thrown off for the whole armed insurrection misunderstanding back in the days before Elon. On his own site he’s got slightly over 4 million. For someone who measures worth as a human being in numbers, this is a humiliation.
So why isn’t he already back on Twitter and Facebook? He’s under contractual obligations to post first and primarily on Truth Social. That agreement ends, I think, in May. At that point you won’t have to wade in the Social Sewer in order to hear the lies that make trump trump, and a fire sale is sure to follow.
