Is there life after Quest?

What is it about this company that fosters such a fear about leaving?

Or is it just the majority of the “sales” people are just comfortable enough and just average enough that they are afraid to look elsewhere.

Most of the “sales” positions within the company have turned into glorified service positions...so the true sales people that want to have job satisfaction and make more $$ have left, or are trying to leave.

Glad I escaped a few years back. Sounds like from the phone calls I get that things are getting progressively worse. What makes people stay there? Life on the other side is great-if you like being treated like an adult and having the ability to make some real money for actually SELLING something and not just shuffling accounts back and forth between Quest/LCA/ local labs.

Would love to hear from others. Still can’t figure out why people stay....

Most of the "sales" people at Quest are comfortable with going through the motions and rolling along as part of the machine of mediocrity. The paycheck will never be great but, at the same time, it keeps coming.

Plus, they get to bounce around in their little box while thousands of Operations folks tell them what to do and how to do it.
 






again NO BALLS! If you don’t have enough guts to get out then stop posting on the board about how bad it is. Wake the $&*# up! Grow up or shut up. Quest is the worst in the industry. Do you have any self respect?

It's a good job for younger "reps". It's not really selling. It's setting up new Dr offices and servicing. These "reps" would never survive in a true selling atmosphere.

I left a couple of years ago, happy to gone from the lab industry. Lab people are weird, socially inept. This goes for clients, as well as Quest lab personnel. I doubled my salary after leaving Quest. Much happier now. The OP was right, there is no selling, it's all service. So if you want to find some accounts lost stool sample, this is the place for you.

First off, the money your mother pays you to sleep with her does not count as salary! Secondly if you left the industry why are you spending your time on this board? Kinda sounds like you are the one with social issues. It’s ok to trash scum bags or even a company for its lack of morals but to trash an entire industry and all its employees as just wrong..........Dumbass!
