Is there a safe/stable small Biotech company in existence anymore?

Certainly no startup is honesty worth the stress and aggravation anymore is it? Just curious. Been around as a rep for a long time and this type of gig was great 20 years ago. I’ve not heard or seen anything along those lines over the past 10 years.

High Risk High Reward. If you think you are safe in a big company with Pods you are fooling yourself. This industry is undergoing changes with the easy access Drs have to information, AI, and their referral network. Many will not survive so if you need stability, probably not the right industry.

I'm a great one now...they are still out there. Mainly in oncology and ultra rare disease. The issue is these are typically smaller sales forces(<100 reps) and the VP, brings in their managers from previous companies/lives, and the managers bring in their reps from previous companies/lives...meaning if you are not in that circle you will most likely will not even get an interview let along an offer. I consider myself extremely lucky that I have worked for the same 'crew' at several companies for the past 20+ years.

So yes they are still out there, but not easy to break into if you do not have a personal connection with someone in the hiring chain.
