Is there a difference for some, when getting laid off?

Listen if you are a male in this industry and get laid off your are in TROUBLE! You will be unemployed for a LONG LONG LONG time. and you have short tenure in this industry you are in trouble again.

Now if you are a seasoned woman, attractive, and has great references you will be employed in 4 months easily. You will take a 15-20% hit on salary, but so what you will be back again and probably happier.

This is a FACT!

Mod do not remove this thread...this is a true fact of the pharma industry....let people discuss....I dont care if Novartis HR is on this site, looking for moles....this is a good topic

OP; there is a difference between wishing something to be true and a statement of fact. Some people WILL unemployed for a long time and some for a short time and this will happen regardless of age, gender, race, etc. I have a male colleague who just got a solid job in a different industry after looking for 2-3 months. It's all what you bring and how hard you bring it.

Somewhere deep in E.H.....

Brian Fantana: Don't get me wrong, I love the ladies. I mean they rev my engines, but they don't belong in phama.
Champ Kind: It is detail*man*, not detail*lady*. And that is a scientific fact.
Brick Tamland: I don't know what we're yelling about.
Brian Fantana: You're with us, Ron, what do you think?
Ron Burgundy: [shouting] She... Sh... It's terrible. She has beautiful eyes, and her hair smells like cinnamon.
Brick Tamland: [shouts] Loud noises.
