Is Publicis still screwing employees over in training?

I declined an offer on Monday. Car allowance, vouchers buying business, hiring dm didn't seem honest, rumors of training issues, PIP, etc. This is not a good deal. Went with my gut.

In my recent training class one rep was suddenly let go. She was a great rep with solid background.
She was the oldest person in the room and was slightly overweight.
She did pass her tests and role-played well. She was engaged and professional at all times.
It was frank age discrimination in my opinion.

Yeah, that's a little strange.

OP here. This issue has more to do with the crazy expectations in training. I worked for PSS on 2 separate times. The first, they sent us the training materials a day or two before we went off for formal training. Then, they fired at least 10 reps in training for not passing these tests that were extremely unfair, and these were accomplished reps. The second time, same thing, but the trainers were the biggest pieces of shit and treated us like shit. If you are considering a job with PSS, you have to be very desperate. This company is the worst company in the industry, and I have been doing this for over 28 years. Good luck.

I agree with you. Plus, they were very slow to reimburse us for all of the expenses that we incurred while we were out of town for training. Some expenses were never reimbursed. BEWARE!!

Poster #10 - The issue with turning down an offer is that you are then placed on the Do Not Hire list. This list is circulated nationally to recruiters and management on all contracts. You could be black balled by various pharma companies.

So is it better to take the offer and then quit a couple weeks in?

I was in one not that long ago and there were several people in their 40's and 50's and I know they are still with the contract.
Now be honest. We're they mostly men?
Also, some of the managers that are judging according to age are in their 50s and 60s., at least on the PSS end of things.
I worked with this one chick who the manager referred to as an "older woman".

This was right in front of her as well as behind her back. She was between 38 and 39. The manager was 42. I was about 48, but a guy. LoL
What in the fuck was he talking about?
