Is MSK sales division going to be disolved?

Um, no....msk has Forteo until 2018....

Neuro will be dissolved....sorry to say...

Doubtful. Its well known that the companies best sales people are still in Neuro- likely Neuro could be dissolved but at the expense of MSK layoffs. MSK is considered to have one of the weakest sales forces- talent wise.

Right, whatever makes you sleep better at night...just get over it, the glory days of the old neuro division are long gone....

Highly doubt msk neuro. Cymbalta is growing in pain market more then mood. Maybe neuro psych to be dissolved.

True it is growing more in pain then mood- but keep in mind for every 1 pain script we have 3 depression/anxiety scripts. The bulk of Cymbalta is written in mood. More likely to dissolve MSK and let neuro handle both the pain and mood. Internally a lot of talk about the ineffectiveness of the MSK sales group and lack of solid leadership in that division.

Who the hell wrote this? IF a neuro rep did, I really admire your confidence. But please, pull you head, neck, upper torso up out of the sand. I would expect this to be a former nuero rep who is either outside of Lilly or brand team now, either way....understand this....our customers don't look at your badge at your sample appt and think, 'Oh my, it's my lucky day, a Lilly neuro rep! I'm about to learn all the wisdom about daily Cialis, low testosterone, depression, and adhd!' You're a drug rep, or you were, like the rest of us. Just tell the Dr what he's signing for and then move on. Why do you think DVR is so popular? Because no one likes commercials! No matter what! Unless of course, you're Jennifer Anniston representing bottled water while laying naked in a bed.

'It is well known that the company's best sales people are in neuro', thanks for making me laugh! That is funny on so many levels! Awesome!

I don't think that poster was talking about what Dr.'s think- they are talking about what management inside thinks. I'm in Oncology and I'm pretty sure since we are paid the most that we are the best of the best within Lilly in the eyes of management- but what do I know!

How delusional! Right, the best reps stick around in a dying sales division waiting for the ax to fall! No my friend, the best reps saw this coming a long time ago, and did what "best" reps do - plan ahead and take care of their careers and move to a sales division with a more promising future - or leave lilly altogether! .

so, the "best" reps planned ahead and moved to: Cardio (why have they had failure to Launch times 2???) MSK (no real SOM increase..unless you take out Lyrica from the data or go to TRX instead of SOM--nice tricks!) Oncology (Gemzar patent expired, how's that 6Bil for Imclone working out?)

Thanks to the p.p. for the laugh of the day! We'll see who's left in 2012.

Well - I and many other "best sales reps" saw this day coming long ago and left neuroscience for greener, more challenging pastures. Since that time I've been busy learning new products, launching new indications, getting promoted and receiving even bigger bonuses.

You on the otherhand, have sat on your ass, stagnating in an obviously soon to be extinct sales job, all the while viewing patent expirations and launch delays some sort sign of rep incompetence - no wonder you're still in neuroscience!

So what is the real laugh of the day? It's watching you, with "tin cup" in hand, beg a manager for a new sales job while trying to convince him you really always wanted it - and weren't some lazy ass worthless rep who didn't have the foresight to get out of neuro long ago - like other "best reps" have done! Sucks to be you - lol!

BTW - I know someone who won't be left in 2012 - and that's you asshole!

Signed,
- One of the Best Reps
