Is Ledgewood, NJ really that bad?

I'm thinking of applying for the sales rep position at Ledgewwod, NJ but i've been seeing that the job is almost always posted. Why is that? Is it such a bad place to work? Is there no money to be made there and the reps just can't cut it? I've seen a few bad things on this board about that location but does anyone really know how it is there?

Problems in ledgewood nj are numerous. Reputation of company is very poor with pulmonologists. RT is not well respected by his peers, drivers are lazy. Manager does not understand marketing or sales. She just follows blueprints that are inefficient and recycled from 5 yeas ago.

A lot of truth in what you say about the LCM not being aware of marketing and the "blueprints" the SR's are forced to use. Rotech does seem to have a rather hard time of being able to balance making money for the present with above normal patient care.

An LCM who understands marketing more than looking it up in the dictionary is one who is ahead of those blueprints so the backlash of not following them to the letter is very little.

Following the book has worked fine for me. I'll take turnover year after year for keeping my position any day.

The problem with ledgewood is leadership. The RM leads by intimadation,
The LCM leads by "you do it or I will write you up". The RT leads by being an @&$ hole.
They only have two customers. The SR that brings in new clients this organization seems to F@&$ it up each time and lose the customer. Not a place for a sales rep.

This site has turned into one for bashing lcm's.
We are simply the obeying decisions from management. You have any problems, take it up with them.

As an LCM, yes, you do need to follow corporate rules they have set up...the rest is a cop out and you know it. You knew it as you typed it. Step up and work closer with your AM so he/she takes the brunt of what is going on, not you and your location.

If LCM's are going to approach their employees only as an assembly line of following the book, then go work for Ford!

Fear does seem to rule the day at some Rotech locations.

Please don't be so sensitive to the information above. Everyone is trying to give some solid advice to the original request for information if they should apply to Ledgewood.
Well to sum it up.....NO. It would be a mistake. You are stepping into a hornets nest.
You will get stung and you are going to waste a lot of time. It would better to apply o the competition since they are not o. The sinking ship.

Thanks. I'm outta here!

Taking a new job is like a marriage. There is he honeymoon period then the awareness of the situation becomes very real. Beware of the person that has been married 9 times in 10 years.

Either Ledgewood hires wrong or they are misrepresenting the situation in the interview.
You are reading the reviews of the former emoyees and the defending LCM of Ledgewood. Heed their words, you do not want to fall in a situation where ou will be the 9th SR in 10 years.

The statics tell he whole story.

The sad part is during SR training in St. Louis the training class was told only 43% will be with the company in 12 months. Some SR do not even make it 3 months. Ledgewood believes they are more successful because they have less turnover than their sister locations.

At my location we gave up on hiring SR's after going through so many - and I have PST's quit on me about every 3 to 6 months, but I've been here 7 plus years and going strong.
Get your reports done on time, follow the book TO THE LETTER, and don't put up with pst's who may be thinking bad things about you.
THAT is the key to longevity as an LCM.

After reading the above and you still take the job...know too that your reputation in your area will sink also being associated with such a place. Sometimes it is best to leave some things off of a resume.

I hate to admit it, but you're right. It also applies to being an LCM.
That's why they'll have to pry this job from my cold, stiff fingers before I give it up.
Everyone else in this town knows me too well and i'd never get a job in this field again.
I'm in it till the bitter end.

They had the best csr. Wonder if she left or are hiring an additional csr?

I would think not. Rotech is not really known for having anything "extra" be it equipment, van/s, location employees and or common sense on how to run their company less like a cookie cutter factory. You know the type...one plan for across the nation...just never works that way.

Sad too that Rotech is not the only DME that runs in that manner.
