Is it true about Tampa/St. Pete pod?

One of my podmates from Miami told me that there was a pod in the Tampa/St. Pete area where all the reps got laid off last year. She also said that your RM Matt was laid off last week, and the pod is still underperforming, so all the current reps will be laid off again. That's horrible! I'll keep you guys in my thoughts.

It's a very tough territory. The sub-par reps were let go in 2010. There are good reps in there now.

Sub-par? I will admit, I don't know these people but I'm sure that had nothing to do with them being let go last year, unless they received 1s. Whatever dude, I know another pod that was wiped out last year and they were great reps, and I know they did not receive 1s. There was a headcount reduction and people had. to. go. period.

Quit the "i heard this" bs you are causing. You, or any of the above posters don't know what the hell you are talking about. Yes, they were all let go, but no one really know all that's behind it. There were some very good reps there, Just like in Miami and everywhere else. To come out and say that the pod is still underperforming and the current reps will be laid off again is wreckless and immature. Keep your thoughts to yourself.

My buddy from Tallahassee is in that region, & he says that pod is infamous for the losers working there. There's even 1 cheap-ass rep who got written up because he only used Sonny's BBQ for lunches. Drs. hated it & told his manager they wanted rice & beans instead, so they hired a Mexican for that territory. Part of 'Diversity & Inclusion'. That is f****ed up!

I've had an attempted assault on myself a couple of months ago. Not just bad access but dangerous to boot. Doctors use bars on their windows and you need to be buzzed in at many offices. Only the tough survive here.

There have been lots of drug reps assaulted in W Tampa. The first viagra rep was knocked unconscious at the trunk of his car and his car and samples stolen. Reps are targeted for car jacking too as was one of the other ED reps. Not at all safe for a rep walking around nicely dressed and driving a nice car. They want your computer too.

They come at you in twos and threes in West Tampa. They target drug reps because they know they have money and are easy to identify. Nice car, nicely dressed, going and coming at Dr offices. I worked there briefly and got a promotion but I remember considering quitting because it was too dangerous. Hospitals are better places to work but looks like those positions are going to be gone soon.
