Is it really that bad?

I have an interview next week in FL but I'm concerned after reading all the posts. Is B&L really that bad to work for? I've been in pharma for several years but no experience in opthamology.

Ditto. I have been invited to Orlando to interview and this board is wicked negative about B&L, in addition I have heard from insiders that the pharma part of this company is bad news, i.e. backstabbing mgrs, poor managed care positions, old products, etc.

Someone, please, comment on this with serious advice, no crap. Thank you.

I'm not the one taking what I read on CP to heart and literal. Get a life, make decisions for yourself and don't look on an anonymous bitch board to make up your mind

Normally, I would agree with you and wouldn't take posts on CP to heart. Unfortunately, the posts under B&L are very accurate. You've been warned. If you have a job, don't bother. Everything they tell you in the interviews will be lies, especially if you talk to KK.

Check out the thread, "pharma division" on page 4 (August 2010 post) There's some interesting product info there.

Just need to know whether the anti- infective reps sample via CPU signatures or paper. Need to know whether big brother watches every call and time it's captured. Thanks for any help you can provide

yes...computer sampling on Dell tablets that weight around 6 pounds with the extra battery. I know people that were being "examined" and managers brought up records showing the time stamps of calls and samples to docs.

This is a pathetic company. Turnover is astronomically high for a small pharma company. They fired or forced out most of their experienced managers and reps over the past 2 years and are running with a senior management team of NOOBs who are screwing the reps into the ground.

This is because this place is disintegrating ever more rapidly on all fronts and many of us realize this. It is just a matter of time until something dramatic will happen to change things for everyone. I think this is why Fred H. is up top giving what they referred to in Orwell's "1984" as doublespeak.

They thought they would unload this thing and get $ similar to the Alcon buy out but this is now purely fantasy as this thing is headed in completely the opposite direction. All our infrastructure is going, going, gone except HR is being beefed up for what I think will be cataclysmic changes.
