Is it legal to lie about where you live?

I need a job. Daiichi has a territory open about an hour and a half from where I live. It just so happens my parents live in that territory. Can I apply for that position and just say that's my home address? I can get all supplies mailed there and get a storage unit nearby. There's no reason they'd ever need to know that, is there? I can pay for my own personal miles if I have to. I know it's not the most moral thing...but is it something illegal? I just want to work!

Let me shine some light on this.
If you need a job that bad, you Lie !
It will buy you time till you find something else.
Make sure If you get interview your driver lic
has your parents address on it. Pharma has screwed
most of us. Do what you need to do.
I do agree with the other post, if you have to ask should
You lie, then probably aren't strong enough for this job.
Good luck !

I agree all pharma jobs are all lies. Pharma companies screw reps over all the time and nobody really cares. So do what all reps do screw them over every day and night. These companies are all p.o.s. and a veteran sales person wouldn't ask a dumb question like yours? You are a rodeo clown and your an uneducated moron. Now shut your trap!

Do not tell a sole? Are you talking about the fish? This is why our industry is the way it is, lying lazy bastards. If you need a job bad, find a new fucking profession or wait for a job where you live. Although this company lacks any shred of integrity or honesty, be a bit classy and have some yourself.

shit. it would all be perfect except for the whole drivers license thing. i know changing that back to my parent's address would be a legal issue. me has to think this one through

keep in mind they check your driving record and do a credit check. If any credit cards have your home address that could raise a flag. I have no idea just thinking out loud. If you need the job, do it.
