Is Genzyme a motivating place to work ? The reason I ask is

I never communicated from phone screen to face to face with a more tense uptight group of people. It is like a fight to communicate with everyone.

I don't think I want to work here. It seems angry and not positive in mindset.

Be honest with feedback. I work for a pharma giant and they seem like a picnic in the park compared to the overall stress attitude I see from Genzyme personnel.

This company is a dsyfunctional pharma company. There is no leadership, no direction, reps don't believe in management, management doesn't believe in the reps, the products are faltering, we haven't hit our national number in the past 6 quarters, pressure is coming down on managment which is being pushed down to managers and to reps, the list goes on and on. If you are coming from pharma and trying to break into medical device sales, then this may be a stepping stone, but be go into with your eyes wide open knowing this is truly a pharma company trying to pretend to be a device company. Good luck!

Well this answers some of my questions. The issue is you are a DEVICE company and now you are about launch into a heavy pharma side with the new MS drug.

Novartis lives with pressure daily but they do it in a bureaucratic way with a smile on their face. Genzyme better learn how to play nice in the sand box with their pharma side or personnel will bolt and it will leave a stain.

So what are expectations on this ms drug? Are they realistic?

I am not the OP should have stated that. When I said it answered some of my questions is because I have been called for a phone screen and I am with Novartis. Obviously I am used to big pharma. I will let you know more as my process continues. Sorry I appeared like OP

I spoke to an internal recruiter today about an ms market access reimbursement position and she cut me off during every answer I provided. I thought the internal recruiter was rude and abrasive.

There is my feedback.

Yes my phone recruiter was the same way but the F2F one went well. Those managers seem like a nice crowd. If you get the F2F ask about their expectations for new drug. I want to see if they tell you the same.
