Is Bausch + Lomb in Serious Trouble????

Is Bausch + Lomb in Serious Trouble?? I understand that most of the people that write on message boards highlight the problems within companies. However, this company seems to have an unusually large number of strange things happening in the company. Also, not one person writes a rebuttal refuting that the company is not in serious trouble.

Is there anyone out there that can give a reasonable argument as to why this is a healthy company that will maintain itself as a Global competitor in the eye care business?

It's going down. The name and IP will be sold off. The health of the name and products will depend on who picks them up and what they do with it.

There is only one strategy for saving this place. Sell of the Pharma Division as soon as possible. If Pharma is sold the company can then focus on fixing up the Surgical and Vision Care Divisions.

Without selling the Pharma Division too much of the companies time and energy goes into paying for research that will not amount to any increased sales, dealing with recalls, making presentations month after month to potential buyers. Take the best deal for Pharma now would give the company a chance to survive.

You know you're in trouble when management does not line up to the company ethics and compliance policy:

"Trust, mutual respect and ethical behavior are essential to Bausch + Lomb’s relationships with our eye care professional partners, our customers, and our employees. In these relationships, we must conduct our business with the highest ethical standards − always assuring that our behaviors are consistent with both the letter and the spirit of company policies, laws and regulations − and with the exercise of good business judgment."

Sign of desperation. Just make sure YOU follow gov't laws and regulations. The FDA watches desperate companies very closely.
