Is anyone happy at Forest?

I am trying to mentor a friend into pharma like myself. I am in the biz but with another big pharma group. However, after reviewing the boards I am not sure if Forest is the place. Of course it could be that positive people have better things to do than be on cafepharma. So my question is, is anyone happy with Forest Labs? I don't want to piss of a good buddy and make a poor recommendation. Thanks.

Whatever you do, DO NOT recommend Forest. Not only will you lose a friend, they will lose themselves.

Yes. I've been at three and Forest is by far the best. You get what you put into it at any company.

DO NOT recommend Forest. We are headed for a huge layoff. The only reason why there are positions constantly open is because of our history of hiring very incompetent people in primary care. There are numerous companies that will interview & hire people with no pharma experience; Forest likes to hire people with no job experience. I can only speak for myself but I am still here only because I have financial obligations. I regret making the unfortunate mistake of starting with FRX. I have good numbers but it is impossible to have great sales numbers with the continuation of new crap drugs. I’ve interviewed with several companies but on one will hire me once they see ‘Forest’ on my resume. It is discouraging to see some female reps with low numbers get promoted faster because they are sleeping with their DMs. I have seen my male & female counterparts (who don’t play dirty if you know what I mean) get turned down time after time as a trainer because they promoted a newbie rep that will do anything once you get some alcohol in her system. One of them I worked with is now a DM. Throughout my pharma career I have met and befriended reps from other companies. They all have some minor issue with the company they work for which is completely valid. Avoid Forest at all cost it's a horrible place to be.

This is the funniest post I've ever read. Let me guess you "GOT" this job from your uncle,aunt or brother? You love it here because you get "special treatment". I hope Forest is bought out by real pharm so that you really have to do REAL work & people like you will eventually quit or get fired.

The Management here (especially in IT) is extremely dysfunctional. They are psychotic and I would never recommend it to anyone. The pay is probably better than average but they offer it for a reason.

Thanks for the post, it was very enlightening and entertaining. I do have children, I’m teaching them the value of “run Forest run”, “real vs fake pharma”, “real vs me too products”, “earning their job vs getting their job through nepotism & blow jobs”! I find fault in myself for ruining my career by applying at FRX and being selected. Apparently this board is filled with people who are “sad and angry” & “filled with hatred”. Go fill your FRX prescriptions for your spouse, kids, and your cat.
