The answer to this Question is No. Amgen is in a category of it's own. See Orwell's 1984 for an example of the culture at Amgen. It is what is, but that is what it is. The thought police are coming.

I agree. It is micromanaging big pharma. The pay isn't all that great anymore, and the bonuses, for the most part SUCK.
 








How's this for big pharma - just look at bhbu hiring an additional 300 reps because the consultants told them too. Also, look at new cv reps. they all have nothing to do with extremely low work loads. there is barely enough work for the base rep to go to these offices once a week. Now add in an overlay rep and back to back monthly field rides with DM. This place is big pharma on steriods

There will be so many reps stepping over each other in the same geography with the EVO launch. What a joke!
 




I started working at Amgen 10 years ago and it was frightening how many people were bailing out at the time. They said it had changed. It is sad what has happened over the years. Amgen is more big pharma than big pharma. They don't trust you to do anything right and must micro manage your every move.
People who come here from big pharma find it claustrophobic.
There is a better way.

Very micromanaging big pharma. Not biotech at all. IT's gotten worse and worse the past 5 years. It used to be NON big pharma. Now, it's field ride and field ride and more and more metrics.
