Ion vs. Monarch

What's the difference in cost, ease of use, clinical results? What's the economic comparison, capital costs vs per-procedure costs? Basically wondering in general terms whether Fred Moll's new company is beating his old company.

OK, what are you seeing? What I'm seeing is all the good Auris people are gone and JNJ doesn't know anything about robots. JNJ made a $300M investment in the company, which was most of the total $500M in VC that was raised, then JNJ almost immediately bought the company for $5B. It's as if they wanted to create their own win -- like they dealt themselves blackjack.

Meanwhile ISRG has a massive installed base with hundreds of reps, so I would think it would be easy to get Ion into hospitals -- though there's also my perception that hospitals are sick of ISRG.
