Inventory

Anyone exiceted as me to ring in the new year counting tubing connectors?
I can't wait!

Without fail there is always someone coming on here at this time of the year saying how they hate to stay and count endless stupid items. Rather like the sparrows in the spring for CA. LOL

If you are the LCM of your location, you only have yourself to blame for either directly OVER ordering or not overseeing the process of someone else doing it. If neither one fills the bill...then speak up to the person who can listen/do something about it. If they don't, at least you tried.

Unless you are new to the location you should pretty much know generally how much inventory your store really needs and would only order for your direct need.

People wonder why raises are low and the company loses money....look to your overstocked items.

Frankly I find it hard to believe there are very few locations out there that don't start early.

If they can do the count a day early for Halloween why can't they do it a day early for NewYear's Eve? Not excited at all.

Xactly, very very few locations don't start early. Just the usual end of the year whiners coming out with their feeble attempts at making Rotech look like the big bad wolfe.

And with all the whiners about the low wages, it's not as if they have any funds to celebrate. Ha Ha Ha

Just do like we used to do when I worked at Rotech, make up numbers. In the 5 years I worked there I never once counted a thing. No brain LCM she never checked. She never cared as long as there were numbers on the sheet. Inventory took a few minutes.

That is great! Our LCM was good at that sort of inventory too. Since none of the items are "barcoded" there is no way to track them from the time they enter the location until delivered.

Made it so much easier for him to just pull out of his file cabinet the previous one and take a few off of the number. Depending on how busy we were depended on how much he took off. The store to the South of us helped him out with the REAL Rotech way of doing inventory...him being new and all.

Bet there are quite a few stories out there on how it's really done.

Go Rotech!
