Interviewing with Bard EP - thoughts?

Hi, I have a first interview with Bard EP soon and I am trying to figure out if I even want this opportunity. I have 4 years of medical device experience and looking to go somewhere where I am selling a product that makes a difference in patient's lives. That may sound naive, but the products I sell now are more of a patient luxury and I hate feeling like I am pushing something they don't really need. I was told the position has 20-30% travel and I currently have none. Realistically, how many nights a week will I be gone. The majority of he business is in the city I live in. I have always been a top 25% rep or higher, how would a rep like that here do financially?

I expect some nut-job answers as always by the bitter people with nothing better to do, but would appreciate some actual helpful advice as well.

I don't want to get too specific in case the manager looks here. It is in the south and the territory is open because the previous rep wan't a good fit. At least that is what I was told. I hear the manager is good with very little turn-over.

Sounds like that position is in Houston. I was told the exact same thing by this recruiter. Manager has low turn over, is a great guy to work for, and his reps all make a ton of money. It sounds pretty interesting, but the base is very low 52k. good luck. Just remember to ask a lot of questions and ask to see proof of where the territory is at this time.

It went very well, thanks for asking!

It seems like a great opportunity for the right person, but I was offered another position with a different company that I accepted. It was nice to end my job search with a few different companies interested!

I also had a recruiter talk about BARD EP - - does anyone have any insights to a realistic amount one can expect to earn? $50k base is low. is $150k 1st year and $175-200K there after legit?

How does BARD stack up to the competition in this space? Any insight is appreciated!

Expect to be out numbered by St Jude and Biosense rep feet on the street. Older product line and no Navigation System which is a challenge. You can still do ok if you work hard and provide value.
Good luck
