The interviewer will typically ask you some questions and that is your cue to offer a response that will somehow answer the question that he or she posed to you. He may even ask you a follow up question to achieve more specific clarity. That should prompt you to go ahead and then proceed to offer further detail in answering his inquiry. He then will probably ask you another question, perhaps on an entirely different topic and then.....
