A lot more than 6 people are viewing these strings. Probably useful information to anyone considering working with or joining plus to see how many current and former employees feel about the place. Too many specific facts that can easily be verified for this anti-plus rhetoric to be false information.
 
















Well If you just based your future and really decided not to interview at plus because of a rumor thread on cafepharma than you are a true jackass. Cafepharma is a 95percent negative rumor mill where most posts come from one of two types of people.

1) Complete rumor starters and storytellers that don't even and never have even worked for the company they are posting about.

2) Someone who has an ax to grind because of being let go, fired or simply did not perform the job well enough to stay.

If you really believe this board as fact and can base life choices based on it than I feel sorry for you.

Plus may not be the best of the best but if you do have a strong book of business and can close than you can make a killing with this company.
Top reps can make 300K or more

Bottom reps don't last long..

This is sales that's the way it is with any high paying high risk high reward sales job.
 








I am a former employee and top reps DO NOT make 300K. I heard only 1 rep who has been at plus for 10 years is making good money.
Mgmt can not be trusted.
The company will be sold or acquired in 2011.
 




With more and more GI and GU Docs internalizing and even some Heme-oncs Plus thought they could build a legitimate business model. The problem now is that the Gov't has cut reimbursement by 67% for Urovysion testing (Bladder Cancer).

In addition the feds will be cracking down over the next 18 months big time on labs. Just look at the lawsuit thrown at Quest and Labcrap in California by Medical. You cannot charge less then medical rates and Plus opened a lab in Irvine, they are now going to be scrutinized.

In addition they are trying to build the infrastructure that US Labs, Genzyme and Clarient have. They just do not have the brainpower or money to do it.
They are going to try and sell to someone, problem is that a new trend has been set by Genoptix and ..YOU MUST HAVE A STRONG R&D ARM OR ELSE you will end up being bought by Sonic Quest or LC and that is the death notice for a lab and especially for high paid sales reps.
Here me now: I give Plus until the end of 2011 and then something is going to happen:

1) Bought by one of the big three
or
2) sued by the Gov't

or

3) bankruptcy (least Likely)
 








There business model focuses on exploiting loopholes in good lab practice for profit, some of which is shared with the biopsy doctor. Reps are very upfront about. Any md with integrity has trouble working with this lab. No real mention of quality anymore from the plus reps when trying to sell AP service. They will not be bought out, but very well will go under. If split billing goes away so does plus. Risky place to work IMO.
