Interview and Training Process

I'm about to interview for a Primary Care position and I was wondering what the interview process is like with Astellas? Typical STAR format questions? How long is home training and where and how long is classroom training? Also what is the salary range? Any help would be appreciated.

70-80. I just turned down that low crappy pay. Fridays are short work days, which is nice. Actually, its a reality everyone, just Astellas recognizes that and makes it official.

Slim to no chance that they would hire a PCP rep for $80K. They can get somebody 2 yrs out of college for a fraction of that. The nit wit above didn't turn down any offer was probably overlooked and now bitter. The days of lay up big base salarys are long gone my friend take it from a hiring manager, aint gonna happen!

Absolutely true.. The contract sales companies tell you that Astellas reps only make 70-80k. I was just hired at $97 for a specialty position and interviewed but turned down a PCP job that called on PCP and urologists for $90k. That is a fact!

Hello everyone!
How long does it take after an in person interview, before you know (either way) about the job? Right now my status is:
"Thank you for taking the time to consider opportunities with Astellas. We have all of the information we need at this time. Should you be selected, you will be contacted regarding the next steps." Is this just a very polite (dream on loser) but thank you for applying, now get lost routine? Any information greatly appreciated.

Is there a high turn over?

I was told the range for a pcp rep is more like mid 50s to 60s more with experience.

There are plenty of PCP reps here making 75-95 in base. Most of them have been here a while. Recent hires for primary care are in the 55-65 range. There is high turnover amongst the reps hired w/in the last 5 yrs or so. Those of us who've been around longer are job locked (read can't replace our base salaries + benefits in current Pharma market). Bottome line is if APUS can hire someone, however unqualified, for $45 they'll do it to save the $. We will be under SABU biz model next yr anyway. But I digress...

Thank you for the answer. Any idea on the status message? Most people say it is a no.

No emails say thanks for your interest in an opportunity to shine. We've gone with someone more like what business needs are(not exact phrasing)
If you haven't heard keep looking. Keep your chin up. If they call it was meant to be if not there are others.
