What intellectual property? The Lilly leadership team has given it all away via FIPNET. The access outsiders have to Lilly's intellectual crown jewels is unbelievable.
Lilly lost the Intellectual property battle when it started dumping employees. Many were told that they were no longer qualified to do the work they had been doing for years. How is Lilly then going to claim rights to the property created by people that were unqualified to do the work
I encourage anyone being shown the door to take as much intellectual property with you as you can. Keep a stash at home in case the end comes suddenly. Your obligation to Lilly ends when they let you go. You CAN retaliate. Just do so carefully, and double-up on your anonymity when you use it.
I've found that Lilly intellectual property on paper is great for camping. It can be used for both starting fires and as toilet paper.
Also, think about all of the untold loads of notebooks, spectra, data books, from all of those empty offices, labs, cubby holes, that were/are/will continue to be DUMPED AND SHREDDED as the mass layoffs continue! GOOD LUCK finding them in research records, on failed/failing eLN servers, etc...bwahh hhhahh HAAH! Patent challenges to LilLie will yield unsubtantiated intial claims/supporting original documents. CHA CHING! HAH!
Oddly enough I had my lab notebooks at home when I got dumped and they hadn't been microfilmed yet. LOL
