I Might have a chance to interview with Integra in the next two months. Someone I just met let me know this board might be a good idea to turn to for some insight about the company and the interview process. Any provided info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I interviewed with Integra on the recon side a few months ago in the NorthEast. Went thru 2 interviews: 1 with manager, the other with manager and their manager. Typical questions; why looking, why Integra, what can you offer, how did you rank, describe difficult client and how you worked thru process, etc. What specific questions do you have?

Specifically what type of company they are to work for? Did you end up taking the job? If not, how come. Also, was wondering if you had a ballpark on the pay......just from reading around it sounds like a lot of the pay is based on how well the territory is doing. I Really appreciate any info you have. Thanks so much, I am an ex D-1 athleate who graduated with a finance degree though and has about 4 years of outside sales experience!

FYI,
Integra doesnt give a Sh*$ ig you played college sports. That may be important at MDT or SYK, but not here. Arrogant reps do not tend to last long. Different culture than other Implant companies. You will make about 8% of territory sales. Great company in that managers leave you alone. Great products as well. Check the D1 attitude or you dont have a chance.

The D1 line was great. I also liked the...I hear a lot of the pay is based on how well the territory is doing...... You do know how sales jobs typically pay...you do well, you get paid; you don't do so well, you don't get paid so well.
Good Luck Mr. D1 (Swimmer or Soccer player I am guessing)

Sorry, but you must be wrong regarding swimming or soccer.
He said ATHLETE

I am considering a position with Integra and I would like some feedback on the company (honesty please!). How is the company culture? How are the benefits? Any honest feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!

Great company culture. Awesome products, insurance is weak. Stock options to sign on, managers leave you alone and expect you to sell.

I would not say the company culture is great. Morale is low, half the marketing staff has left, along with 80% of the sales force in three years. It all comes down to money. Integra has it, but will not invest in there own company. It is really quite silly, they will invest money in buying company, but they will not invest in there own people. The same applies to R&D. It depends were you are interviewing, some manager micro manage the shit out of you, other are pretty relaxed. Insurance is weak. Stock options are okay, but they are going to be given to you at a pretty high strike point.

With that said, they have changed the comp. plan on the neuro side. One product pays 18%, you can make some good coin selling it. You'll have until Jan. 1, 2009 to reap the rewards, after that the comp. rate will be cut in half.

Now, some one well reply "...If you are so unhappy why don't you leave." I have. I couldnt have got my job with my current employer had it not spent my time at Integra getting neuro experience.

I recently interviewed with Integra Neuro for a Marketing Director position. Pay was weak and there seemed to be some turmoil and conflicting stories about the direction of the company ( mergers, takeovers, pipeline, etc...). Focus was on how the marketing director would present himself/ herself to the CEO, not on the actual duties or goals of the job itself. Very strange culture. I'm sorry I wasted my time interviewing. They told me the position had been on and off for over a year. Less than a week after my interview, they announced another merger (Isotis) and I was told they needed jobs for the displaced Isotis people. Once again, no focus on ability and no solid decision making.

Shitty company with shitty ethics. They hate there sales reps and in general you will spend an awful two years there beating your head against the wall until you find another job.

I've heard this same scenario from a few people that interviewed at Integra in the past few years. Don't even waste your time interviewing. They look for the cheap way out and are only interested in gobbling up other companies full of lackluster talent. This company will never be first-rate and it's just a matter of time before they crash and burn.

Integra is a real mess right now. The reps are getting jerked around and management is very poor. You do get to run your own business, but you will have to lie about completing stupid activities that are a waste of time. The new management rants about how marketing runs the world, so be ready for the stupidity. The surgeons think it is a joke and only care about you being there and getting them what they need when they need it.
