IMS loses pharmacy data contract?

Federal regulations will soon stop medical & prescription information collection and dissemination.

CVS has stopped reporting to IMS Health and will not renew any contract.

IMS will be out of business in less than 5 years

Their data collection was never accurate.

Big pharma has begun dropping them.
Glaxo dropped them already.
JNJ next

and several mid and small companies are slated to not renew contracts.

Yes, no doubt thi is the beginning of the end of IMS.

Pharm reps know their data is bogus and pharm companies have been dropping their subscriptions.

Now with this debacle CVS will be turning the lights out on IMS and everyone and anyone involved investing money on this company is going to be holding a big old empty sack.

Federal Regulations will soon prohibit this type of data collection.

Costco, Walmart, Target and several other medium sized pharmacy chains already DO NOT report data. And CVS is ending their contract now.

IMS is grasping for air but the writing is on the wall.

There is a small niche for patient level data but not at the cost of retaining all of the staff at SDI. Pharma is not going to pay for patient level data as a stand alone product. It needs to be incorporated into existing offers. The value to Pharma is not there anymore.
Verispan and SDI failed because of poor management but also because the client base dwindled to nothing. Don't fool yourself into thinking longitudinal data is going to bring in big dollars. This is reality.

cvs didnt report data for a whole two months, big deal. Percentage wise, IMS has the most data available. If you want to get paid on everything you sell go get a real sales job and stop promoting (yes i said promoting) drugs

The Fraud has been going on for years.
The recent "fraud" about CVS began back in 2010.

Pharm companies are beginning to drop IMS as their representatives successfully suing them for multiple employment violations.

Dropping them for who??? WK??? That's would be a real joke. WK hasn't won any signficant business in over 10 years. They wouldn't know what to do with a new sales comp client.
