Immunology Sales Representative - Rheumatology

Immunology job in Portland, OR - what is the good, bad, and ugly?

well - you’ll be managed by a man who has high turnover with reps. That should tell you something. Also, no one internally wants to work for him because he is a d$&k! He is an elitist with a militant attitude who thinks he’s above most. He can’t keep people! Lots of internals don’t care for him. If you interview with him - be prepared for an elitist who will expect perfection from you. Know the drug inside and out and have a stellar resume with proof of results. Good luck - he can be a complete jerk off!

Ugh. Thank you for responding! I was wondering about that since this same job was posted a year ago. Do you happen to know where this position is ranked in the nation? Portland has long been known to have access issues ( like many other cities) thanks again for your help!

not sure where the territory is ranked. Rheum typically does well, but Abbvie has difficulty getting contracts with 340B pharmacies (too expensive/not big enough etc) and finding data from other specialty pharmacies that don’t report and don’t want a contract. Data issues are a BIG problem with this company for most specialty products. Also - Portland has prescribing pharmacists who now prescribe and manage patients and those pharmacists are blocked from our IC plan so... not going to get any credit there. Data issues are a mess. I do know reps in Humira have left the company because Abbvie hasn’t evolved or innovated themselves to capture data in this new 340B specialty pharmacy and prescribing pharmacist era. It’s the way the pharma business is going. Due to Abbvie getting paid no matter what (off wholesale orders) their sense of urgency with this matter is very unmotivated. However, the reps are getting screwed on bonus due to this data not being captured. This could be an issue at any company though ... but reps have left Abbvie specifically because of non-reporting data and Abbvie not doing much about it.
