I'm so sick of this!!!!!

one thing this company does NOT give me is a sense of worth!!

Above poster got it right - a total, disorganized mess. There are so many well qualified former pharma personnel currently out of jobs, those in home office better be looking over their shoulders.

If NL is really going to turn this company around - and earn that bloated salary - she needs to get rid of the dead weight that brought this co.down in the first place, and get people in here who KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!

Current folks, with their fancy titles and big paychecks, are useless!

If you want a sense of worth, go for affirmation sessions or see a shrink.

Home office looking over their shoulder at what? It's the same everywhere . . . across the board across all industries.

As horrible as this company is and as ass-backwards as they do things, if you don't like it . . . LEAVE. See if there is anything better.

I've been here for years. It's my choice to stay. I think a lot of what they do is ridiculous, ill-conceived and comically executed. Since I choose to stay, I put up with the mediocrity and bad leadership. I just do my job and collect my paycheck. If it gets to the point where I can't stand it anymore, I'll leave. But I'm not going to sit here complaining about it while I collect the paycheck they give me. My employment here is MY choice. If I don't like their rules, I have the option of leaving.

In other words, either do your job, regardless of what it is and how difficult they make it, or find other employment.

I don't necessarily agree with everything you say but I applaud your stance. It is about time someone displayed personal responsibility and you have done so admirably. Thanks.

If leadership's (NL) goal is to bring this company to profitability, and then continue along that path going forward, she MUST look inside this organization and start throwing
under-performing, uncapable personnel overboard.

All those people who are not accountable, who do not do their job appropriately and accurately, they need to go.
$hi* rolls downhill.
If those above do their jobs with pride and precision, it will naturally be reflected all the way down to the sales force. A sales force working with pride makes the fullfillment of those contracts easy and enables the company to sign more, and better, contracts in the future.

"....ridiculous, ill-concieved, comically executed," as a previous poster said - is this how you want your company to be described?
Laden with " mediocrity and bad leadership"? It does not have to be that way at all.

The fact that people care enough to complain says it all.

There is SO much experience out there, people who know how to execute on their job requirements, who don't say - "thats good enough" or "I'll let someone else do it".

Good Lord, Nancy - tap into this experience, replace those that nearly brought this company to its knees or you run the risk of this company becoming a bigger laughing stock than it already is.

(why do I work here?? I need a paycheck. Real pharma jobs are very scarce in my area. Easier to get a job when you have a job)

I am so PISSED!!!

I do my job. I over deliver time and time again and I get nothing but, what have to done for me lately.

Now I just retook a test the system said I failed, but answered the exact same answers as the first time and low and behold....I passed. That tells me that someone in the training department screwed up the test and we all get threatened with job loss. I passed the first time, but had to go back and do it again and WASTE my own time on something I had already done. Where's the "accountablity" for that????

A company's main goal is survival and profitability. As history has demonstrated, PDI HAS survived due to fiscal conservation, and it is now profitable. If people think this company is on its knees, they either weren't here one, two or three years ago, or have a convenient memory.

Face the facts: In the current economy, draconian steps are necessary to ensure the company is competitive and profitable. This is not exclusive to PDI. Neither is executive bashing. There will always be people at the top who are disagreeable and open to criticism. Although I do agree that there needs to be a shake-up with some of the executive leadership, as a whole, they are not any different from hierarchy in other corporate entities.

You don't have to like it. But you do have a choice as to whether you want to continue working here or not. If it's so disagreeable, find something else. In the meantime, since they are providing you with a paycheck, execute your job to the best of your ability and within reasonable parameters you can live with. As long as you are collecting that paycheck, you have an obligation to perform.

There is absolutely no way this could have occurred. If you answered them right the first time, you would have passed. Thye do not ask the same exact questions on a retake. It is designed that way. The reason you failed is that you did not prepare. Stop whining about lack of training. Take some responsibility for getting out of your comfort zone and push yourself.

What do you expect them to do? To what are you entitled other than a paycheck for doing a job that you agreed to do when you signed on? You may be delivering time and time again, but that is merely meeting expectations. There are no rewards for mediocrity.
