I'm not your friend or your family. This has got to stop.

I am so sick of management calling us a friend and referring to us as family.

FUCK OFF. You are not my friend and you are certainly not a member of my family. You never will be.

Hey pal. Why so hostile? We are one breath, paisan.

When I'm laid off or displaced, you will never call me or try to contact me again. Our relationship is nothing more than professional. I'm not your friend and you are certainly not a member of my family. Keep playing the game. Those who report to you, see right thru you.

No, paisan. I welcome you with open arms to my holiday gatherings. We shall eat, drink, and be merry! We are one breath.

The toxicity and narcissism here are so out of control they refer to us as "family", for the expressed purposes of abusing us the way a dysfunctional family would. The gaslighting, the triangulation, the golden children vs the scapegoats, and the constant threatening environment.

I did that after my first experience going through layoffs. I treated the laid off like lepers. I didn’t do it to be mean. I just didn’t know how to act or what to say. I thought it would be like rubbing salt in a wound.

I learned my lesson how to react though. I think some managers don’t deal with it well. They may have had a role in deciding who gets laid off. There really is survivor’s guilt that some have to deal with and that makes things difficult.

You will accept being called "family," or we'll get rid of you.

Life goes on and the void left behind eventually closes. It’s not that you don’t care about the person who lost their job - you are trying to survive.

Family? What's the saying about involving family with business?

You should be referring to one another as colleagues. Your pfizer colleagues will throw your ass under a bus faster than you can wink.

When??? Nobody is calling you “While!” Everyone knows who you are! LMAO

Family? Like the mafia is family. Sometime ya gotta do, what ya gotta do. Nothin' personal, just business. As far as a den of snakes- some are poisonous and some aren't...and a lot will strike at you. It is just the degree of damage they do that is the difference. Just gotta get close enough to tell the difference at times because their stripes are at time mere mimicry.
