Illinois opening

What happened to the Peoria/Bloomington rep? I see they are hiring for that position.

no idea, but there are lots of opening for this good company. its good because you are treated good.

only drawback is the pay is not that great. however, there is more to work than making top money, especially when a company is in the ballpark.

kowa is in the ballpark, and I think this is easily one of the best company cultures out there, based on the reps that I have talked to in the field, and in my own comparisions with people at other pharma (most big pharma) companies that hate their jobs despite the better pay there.

If you don't mind a 60 base and $100 bonus checks, Kowa is the place for you. We're ALWAYS hiring!

always hiring cuz no reps come and go. haha

That makes perfect sense.

Its a stepping stone to something better, for most people, more money is the reason to take off.

But, there is more to money in a "job", there is company culture and satisfaction, something that is entirely overlooked by people.

I say spend less and have a better "job", because most of your time is spent on the "job" anyway, right?

I guess it depends on what part of the country you live on. There ARE parts of the country where you can live on what Kowa pays you and be content: Alabama and some southern states, parts of the midwest and other states like the Dakota's where the cost of living is low.

However, if you're in the Northeast, California and parts of the country where your mortgage or rent may be double what someone in Alabama or Ohio is paying....then the "job" gets much less satisfying.

I will agree that, as a whole, the company culture is more laid back than most other pharma companies. The vast majority of the DM's are super cool. However, it's all relative. If they pay less AND are up your behind 24/7: then NO ONE would work for them.

Somebody from the top brass keeps posting about how great this f-ing company is. I can tell you from experience how crappy they treat their employees.

You must have a terrible manager. I have a few friends working there, and they love it because the products can compete, and they have their own territory, and they are not micromanged. Hang in there if your manager is a loser.

They love it because the products can compete? Compete with what - sugar pills? Livalo is a good product that came to market too late and has a mountain to overcome with the flood of generics and lack of coverage. Lipofen is just a joke, and they would do much better if they would just dump it and pick up another product from someone else.
