If you interview for a Publicis contract position

and had final interview, when will they contact you to let you know if you were choosen? Do they only contact you if you got the position, or will they give a phone call or letter to say you did not get the job.

good question. I was a finalist for a position with offers to go out this past Tuesday.
A friend who also interviewed for same contract got an email rejection letter. As of today I had heard nothing. I contacted my recruiter and was told recruiter was not aware that any decisions have been made about finalists. Checking.

I am hoping this is not another contract that is supposed to be solid and just falls apart and
none of the candidates hear anything. Have experienced that with another contract co when I was a finalist and it was a huge let down-very unprofessional.

So in answer to your question , who knows!

Just make sure you fully know what you're getting into. The Merck contract isn't what it's said to be. It's pretty solid (going on 3 years now and slated to go beyond), but ready yourself for the "fine print" which isn't really "printed". Lots of BS coming down from management which really wasn't necessarily agreed or discussed prior to hiring.

Lots of BS coming down from management is what happens in this industry sweetie. Glad you got the job. Maybe you'll keep it. Hopefully not, because I might want it.

Do not listen to the negativity this is a great contract but you have negative people every where so as long as you understand that you actually need to work 24 hours a week and cant just get 3 signatures a day you are fine, truthfully I work about 20 hours a week and I get at least 7 signatures sometimes 8 a day I drive back and forth to territory and I do admin. This is a great contract if you have a good Manager I am in South West and I Love my job!!!

First off, who cares about signatures, but an idiot like you that has to prove that you are working by getting signatures. How silly. Grow up.

Don't pay attention to people that tell the truth? It is not about being negative, but about telling the truth.

Contract is a dead end. If you want that, fine. But, don't lie about it.

I can tell you for the Rheumatology position for Pfizer, it was 2 days after interview for an offer. but heard they didn't contact candidates that didn't get the positions.

Hey fool if you talk to a doctor and in the end they don't want any of your free product to try on new patients it means you suck. More likely you aren't talking to them at all. Sure there are exceptions, but if you are forthright about those, they should never be an issue. Your "truth" is based on your perspective. Your shitty attitude says everything we need to know about that. As for being a dead end, I disagree! This gives me a chance to be a full-time Mom and stay in the game. I love this job!

Publicis recruiters are horrible. They won't get back with you unless you constantly call them. If you don't get a position, you will never hear from them that you didn't get it. Totally unprofessional.

It sucks to not get the job, and it's worse when you don't hear back. Just some advice. Recruiters are busy. You want to be professional no matter what, because that #2 candidate ends up being #1 more than you think, and you may hear from that recruiter again, even if this job doesn't work out. Also, they feed back to hiring managers constantly. You have to balance that whole "constantly call them" thing. If they perceive you to be a pain in the ass, they will pass it on. Good luck.

So, what is the recommended time to follow up with the recruiter after your f2f? I would think 1 week. I had an interview on Wednesday of this week but, don't want to look like I'm not interested. I did send a follow up thank you email to the recruiter and DSM. thoughts?

Call the recruiter immediately after the F2F if you are excited about the job with a simple message saying you really enjoyed the interview, you are ready to go, and your are looking forward to any news. Leave a brief message if you don't make contact. The e-mail is a nice touch, but less is probably more. Once you have established your interest, you have done your job. Good Luck!
