If We Lose Patent Trial, What Happens

I’m very excited and still have the fire burning in me from the NSM. However, will the company have major layoffs should we lose the Patent Trial. Nothing is guaranteed. Serious responses only.

Doubtful it will happen. If it did, I do not see layoffs. But you're probably not swayed by my opinion. So tell us what you think about it?
 






If we lose it is time to start looking... The layoff would not be immediate but it would be eminent within a 12-18 month period.

In the meantime- if you are losing sleep over this- just try reading the mind numbing details that each side will argue in court... it will put you asleep.

How massive of a layoff would you predict? If we are at say 800 reps, impact would be at half of that? Less? More? Close up shop all together? I cant think of any companies that folded completely due to early generic competition. We could easily put out an authorized generic to combat against that while still promoting vascepa and its benefits knowing that any AB switch to a generic would likely favor a switch to our own generic, made from the same manufacturer with maybe slightly different packaging to save on costs at the wholesale level, while also keeping the same integrity and intellectual property of the branded version, which will ultimately make it harder for generic competitors to completely take our hard earned market share. Sure, we would still lose scripts to them, but dont we already lose scripts to omega 3s, fish oils supplements and fenofibrates? My point is, I dont think the impact will be as bad as you might think. Will it cause some growing pains, absolutely. But vascepa will only survive on the back of the sales team until we hit multi billion status. Then you can just let it do its thing. We have a long road ahead of us to even get to that point.

I have a hunch something is brewing here. Not looking good for a Patent Trial Victory. Any good recruiters to reach out to?
 






We're not going to lose the patent infringement. We're not going to get laid off. Once we start making more fi$h oil money then I would worry about being bought out, then we're SOL

How do you know? Patent Attorneys gave it a 50/50 chance based on a conference call they had today. It’s not a slam dunk case like everyone seems to think around here. Anything can happen.

What call ? No attorney will talk about a pending case in this manner and definitely not on a conference call.
I don’t think there was a call and if there was one, it would not have discussed any of this!
