It doesn't look like Identix has gotten too much positive press in the past year. Nothing much in it's pipeline. Seems like a move of desperation to go after Gilead's patent. I mean what other value do they have? Sounds like this could drag on for years either way.

Yes, but that can change as it did in the previous case. Gilead didn't just drop 11 Billion without investigating that stuff. It sounds like wishful thinking on your part. Maybe you even work for them, I don't know but you seem to have yourself convinced. Those things are seldom a slam dunk like you're making it out to be.
I do not work for Idenix. This case has fascinated me for two years. I am a US PATENT ATTORNEY. The one thing that I can tell you with 100% confidence is that there was infringement. I will not go in any more details. What transpires now is anyone's guess. I have my own ideas. Merck/Isis does have a role to play here and they have been fulfilling their part, in my opinion.

That's what i'm doing brother!! I'm actually buying more. I actually looked into Identix and they have NOTHING!!!Their drugs never get past phase 2 because they are always toxic. They were created by some of the same people that started Pharmasett, but then pharmasett really took off. They hired top notch scientists from Pfizer, Merck GSK and others. The Virologist that discovered the backbone of SOF, Dr Jeremy Clark was a genius. Many, many published papers and Patents. I think he is heading up Novartis Virology Labs right now. Real Smart guy! Then Michael Sofia who worked underneath and assisted Dr Clark actually is starting his own biotech. He came here for a short stay. I guess that creative genius had to find its own home.
