IBC Contract

Way to go Labcrap! you just made every other in-network IBC lab's day. Without Quest in Philly and your crappy lab here all the other labs will be able to get more work. There is already a revolt amongst the physicians in Philly over this decision. Some have even decided to stop taking Keystone First and IBC in protest. When will the insurers learn that the big 2 labs suck!

"...a revolt amongst physicians..." LOL!! Dramatic, are we?

Wow, these Philly physicians sure did work quickly to make their decisions to stop taking Keystone/IBC and to 'revolt', as you say. Sign me up as a new patient for one of these guys! Everyone needs a doctor who makes a spur-of-the-moment judgements to diagnose them.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet you're full of $#!t.

You obviously don't know the mood of the doctors in the Philly market. They are sick and tired of the insurers dictating to them what ancillaries they should use, especially the labs. The docs aren't big fans of Quest but Labcorp is awful. Terrible home draw service, bad hours at the patient service centers, rude customer service and worst of all Beacon makes Quest360 look like the Taj Mahal of lab ordering/result systems. I should know as I am a PA that works with a large physician practice- (4 locations) We are not taking IBC or Keystone 1st effective 7/1/14 unless IBC reverses this decision. Labcorp and Quest both suck!

Stomp their feet all they want...they can't survive in the Philly market without IBC and single practice physicians might use some of the smaller labs but the bulk will concide once they see how it will affect their wallet...that's all they really care about in the end. This coming from someone who also knows the Philly market and isn't quite the a**hole that you are. Some some class you minion.

Look, small lab rep...er... "PA"... I am, in fact familiar with the Philly market and can tell you that the providers in Philly are NO DIFFERENT than the providers across the entire country who are sick of insurers dictating their every move. Your 'large physician practice' will bite the dust without IBC or Keystone and the last laugh will be on you morons who decided to protest...and no one cared. Good luck in your venture to change the world! Oh, and why are you trolling lab boards? Looking for a career change?

Well Mr. Big Lab D**k. My physician practices are negotiating with a hospital group to join their ACO. When this ACO is up an running we will dictate to the insurers what labs we will use. We are in talks with a local lab to form a joint venture. This will give us power and cut out the big 2. No hospital will go with the big 2 in Philly because they do not trust them. I know what people are saying "ACO's are a joke". They may be but they are the future and my group loves them because of the bargaining power it gives us! Do your homework before you come on here spouting your so called expertise. I know more about ACO's and the Philly region than you ever will.

First of all, I'm not the one who commented about ACO's, and don't claim to know everything about them. I actually think they are a wise route to go and negotiating power does lie in the hands of the administrators, once the ACO is large enough. What I do know is that you won't have yours up and running before 7/1, if you're still in 'talks'. And until there is a 3rd large lab option to choose from, I hope you realize a large portion of your esoteric testing will likely make its way to LCA or Quest. Wait, you're a PA...your CBC's will be safe in the baby labs. But back to the point... your large group is still pretty dang stupid to be pulling the plug on IBC before any of those 'plans' actually come to fruition. You'll see.

PA has laws that NO LAB shall revenue share - irregardless of federal laws. ACO deals in PA are not allowed with the new laws. No matter what you want to believe, I will tell on you with every ACO deal you put together. I'll call and rat!

LabCorp will screw it up. Understaffing locations, poor supervisors, RMBD is a control freak, Physicians will not support this move. J sit back and watch how fast the contract goes back to Quest..

Will it go back just like the UHC contract?

Quest will bill OON and run more radio ads back to back with power windows and siding.

Maybe sponsor the quest tasty cake whackem slacks sack of the game.

during flyers game fights, it's a quest for blood!
