The cuts will begin to occur soon. Quest has no desire to carry extra expense any longer than they have to. It's just business.

Look for these changes to be put in motion within 3-4 months:

Quest will transition Solstas clients in Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama over to Tucker, GA, pretty quickly. The Birmingham lab will become a STAT lab.

Quest will transition Solstas business in FL to the Florida BU.

Quest will transition Solstas business in KY to the north.

Quest will transition Solstas business in Maryland and parts of Virginia to Chantilly.

Quest will leave Greensboro open, scale it back and use it to service North Carolina and South Carolina only. Greensboro will then sendout the same testing that Tucker currently sends out to California and other Quest sites. Greensboro will mirror Tucker but on a much, much smaller scale. Quest will eventually lose a lot of the acquired Solstas business through attrition and will then further scale back the Greensboro lab. Greensboro will be a RRL in 3 years.

Spectrum Air will go away.

90% of Solstas couriers and vehicle fleet will go away within 3-6 months.

Quest will transition Solstas offices off Atlas and CareEvolve within 3-12 months. Quest will not pay third party companies to use their technology when they already own Care360.

Quest will re-evaluate all Solstas phlebotomist accounts for profitability. >30% of Solstas Phlebotomist's will be downsized or hours reduced within 6 months. Solsas Team Leads are gone within 3 months. Most Solstas phlebotomy Supervisors are gone within 3 months.

Quest will consolidate billing systems, review all Solstas pricing and adjust pricing upward for many of the Solstas clients who have ridiculously low, below COT pricing in place.

Quest will close Solstas PSC's throughout the region. 80% of Solstas PSC's will close within 6-12 months.

I could go on and on but you get the picture....

Oh, and virtually no Solstas MAE's will survive 3 months! And you WILL NOT get paid out 12 months on the business you closed for Solstas im the past 9 months. Quest doesn't owe you that money. Most CRS's will be gone in 12 months or less. And you will have all signed new non-competes by then.

This is going to be a bloodbath, Quest is the conquering army and Solstas is the little Indians.

You continue to enforce my point. You just don't get it! Quest will not be on the UHC Contract, you may or may not survive the upcoming cuts. You will NEVER make the kind of money real sales people make. Quest will not allow you to break a $100K. I bet you even voted for Obama Care. I will enjoy kicking your butt, again! Nobody likes Quest or LabCrap either! It must be frustrating to have so few opportunities to sell. Solstas targets are gone and with out BCBS HMO or UHC, you guys can't even beat LabCrap! You can't call on Neurologists, Women's Health, PMP, etc., plus you compete with your Account Managers within a tiny sliver of territory. Constant reports, Web-X's, meetings and conference calls. Boy that sounds like so much fun!

This appears to be a fair analysis. The salaries and saved commissions of those mentioned goes a long way to paying back the cash to purchase.

You are living proof that soon you will be dead in Quest eyes. Which one do you think will be shown the door... CE or SG?

My vote is both will be kept temporarily too not ruffle too many feathers. Then they get a glimpse of their new commission and leave. They will not sign those crazy non-competes not agree to the commission structure. I see them leaving shortly thereafter.

As for everyone else... They Will probably leave on their own following the $$ before the market is even more flooded.

Own the fact that you will most likely be squeezed out regardless. Quest will have more loyalty with their own performers. You also might want to own the fact that their comp plan is much less lucrative and you will be making much list commissions. Own the fact that personal and professional alliances trump performance when deciding who to keep - this is the Quest Dx culture. And yes, you’re going to have to own that culture.

"move the wall street needle " who are you kidding? with all the acquisitions the stock remains flat or even down in the past 5 years. Wall Street is obviously not impressed.

These acquisitions are 1 step forward and 2 back. You can hide this Ponzi Scheme with continued purchases for a while but eventually it becomes obvious to all. Quest cannot compete on it's own. It must pay for business that it cannot win by merit. They must engage in corrupt anti-competitive schemes. They cant even hold on to what they previously paid for without spending more investment dollars to keep the scheme going. This is a bad sign for any company. Time to clean house and get rid of the dead weight holding this company back. That is something Wall Street would respond positively to.
