i-Pads?













My manager never answers a question directly. My manager is incapable of developing an unique thought. My manager has to check with the RSD before a question is answered. My manager is too busy writing field contact reports and bugging the reps for every single syringe that is sold. Oh yes, and no unreported days.

Why buy one if I earned one? Free is free! Amgen has a problem on giving us up front information. Where is my I-pad, who won the Rolex or at least the standing as of November points, what is the trip valued for S1 contest? My previous company paid on contest in a timely manner and tracked/ranked reps for all the contest. Not much to ask for since this is sales and I want to know where I stand at all times.

Your sales don't even cover your salaries. The BHBU is a drain on this company, but that is not the fault of the reps. Has to do with your VPs thinking that Amgen can actually change primary care physician behavior. Arrogance of HT and CT.

How about this? Identify how many reps from the BHBU that the IBU needs to adequately call on endos and rheums, and move the best BHBU reps to IBU. Then identify the best DMs and RSDs from the two organizations, and those folks become the sales leadership team. Dump CT and HT (that was easy). All remaining heads, about 400 or so, would all get an iPad 2 as a thank you for their service and shown the door. No more calling on PCPs, only endos and rheums. Save a ton of money, stop production of way too many sales tools, and actually have a focused, energized sales force.

I'd place a $1,000 bet on the above scenario.

Volume is with the PCP's. BHBU are true sales people with a hard quota. BHBU are continuing to take care of the rheums. Prolia is a way different animal than enbrel or any other script drug. rep's are managing crazy changes everyday.
