I only have Exforge!

no you should do this; look in the mirror and say...

Half of the pods in the USA will only have 1 rep.

I sell one product, exforge.

My last day of work is April 1st.

Now, are you worried? No because you know what will happen. You were on the call, but did you "hear" what they said?

good luck.
ps i only have exforge too

You should be worried because you referred to yourself as an 'asshole'... not because you might get displaced. That appears to be your bigger issue. As Novartis has demonstrated with the Denver training, they can conduct training quickly as needed.

My opinion is that they could easily train you on new products, but I think they will keep those people that may have more experience in the industry vs. cheaper newbies. It sounded like part of the criteria will be skillset this time around, and that is why they are going back three years.

They are going back 3 years now because with the settlement of the Velez suit, reps have a right to challenge their reviews now. There simply is not enough time to legally go through that process and they think 3 years of reviews gives Novartis better protection. They know what your ratings are for 2011 but they have not informed the reps yet. If you get a 1 you are out and you won't have any time to appeal the rating.

Dude-HELLO! "experience" "skill-set". Why would they retain a more expensive employee if two people due the same job?

Please get a grip. You are going to have a challenge over the next year or two.

Appeals are due Feb 15th so there is time...whether that will make a difference is another thing
I don't think you can fully say just cause you get a 1 you are out. I knew people who were kept over others who got a 1 in the last go round.

The dumb thing about getting rid of people who have had 1's is that 9 times out of 10 it is a rep. who did extremely well the year before, and are now getting killed by goals. Another scenario is when an entire pod team gets 1's because they lost volume due to a change in formulary. Are you telling me that they are all bad?

People don't usually get 1's because they are the worst reps.. The reps. that consistently don't do well are the ones that are usually kept because their goals never go up. Year after year they fly under the radar doing the bare minimum, and we let go of the truly exceptional ones. Why are our leaders so ignorant that they don't understand this?
