I love my job-Labcorp is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

Work for a Lab if you want to, just not this one. No disrespect, I have not seen many Pharma Reps that can come over and be successful. The learning curve is pretty steep and if you are not producing in 6 months ... you are a let go.

Free lunches on the expense account are great and so are 2 day work weeks. Golf, beers, horseshoes and beaches should be part of the job description. My manager has NO CLUE, and I hardly ever work.

Today I was in bed for the conference call, went back to sleep after. Then I hit the golf course and as per usual spent the rest of the day at the 19th hole. Fridays wear me out.

i dont work here anymore but in my 3 years they never ever caught wind that i didnt work on fridays. this isnt a place for people who can sell. that doesnt even make a difference. all you have to do is sell your manager that you are working and even if you arent no big whoop. fake the reports, fake the calls, fake the enthusiasm and you are golden pony boy.

Right on! I also did my time here between jobs. This place is great for anyone without career aspirations that wants to spend plenty of time with the family or refine their golf game. I trained for a marathon working avg 3-4 hour days!!! You don't want to work here when its time to get serious about real money. For that, go somewhere where they appreciate production and true talent and reward commensurate w/that. Top production isn't part of the labcorp model. But if you want a full time job w/part time hours, this place is perfect!

Maybe in some locations, you can sleep all day, but with most others, you spend most of your time on useless conference calls, doing reports, after reports, after reports and cleaning up the messes that the Billing and Phlebotomy departments have made with accounts and patients. This place sucks and the Western Region is the worst!! Run far away!!!! They micro-manage you to death!!! Horrible place to work! That is why they always have positions posted on job boards and are always hiring sales reps.

Dallas is the worst. management only cares what you sell. They spend no time training, and there is a lot to learn. I worked all day and then some, I don't know how these people are posting saying they hardly work. There is too much to do. Territories too large, too many pissed off clients, bc phlebotomy shortages, lost specimens, missing results. and WAYYYY too much time in meetings. Meetings last forever, and there is absolutely no point to them. You will come out every Monday, after a 2-3 hour meeting, wondering WTH? You get to listen to everyone complain or talk about their sales. Don't waste my time. KAE's and SME's should have different meetings. And KAE's have too much damage control to waste half a day EVRY week in a meeting. If it was constructive, and we learned something.. maybe. We used to have cool sales ops meetings.. now it is just a complete waste of time.
HOw can you make everyone drive all the way to the lab, for a 2-3 hour meeting, and then get back to their territories? It is a complete waste of a day. Then you need an office day or two, so that leaves 2 days of being in the field? What? how does that =$?
There are better labs that give smaller territories, so the clients can actually be managed. DONT GO TO LABCORP Dallas. The comp plan sucks. They can't keep SME's because it is a shitty comp plan, and the ops team sucks, so you can't make money or even seem like a savior to your clients, because you only have time to see them when they are screaming with an issue. If you want to feel beat down and destroyed everyday, and feel like you are drowning, go to Labcorp. it will suck the life out of you.

Now that says it all.
