If you don't already know the 4 P's of an institution here they are:
Every institution acts to protect, preserve, perpetuate, and promote themselves.

For instance:
The company is not working well in (insert area of company), Senior managements response: "Promote the responsible party to SVP or Director... We couldn't possibly hold them accountable, then someone might expect us to be accountable for our half baked business decisions! Hahaha.."

This is where peters principle comes from. (being promoted to your highest level of incompetence )

On the slow sinking ship that is CardioNet.
Apropos for an x-Navy CEO.

I've been researching investment potential in this industry and ran across Cardionet. Have performed extensive investigation and thought I'd see what you all have to say. While your posts and comments are amusing at the very least, what I find most interesting is how dramatically the stock crashed awhile ago, the acquisitions continually being made, extremely well paid executives and yet, I don't believe this organization has ever made a profit! I mean NEVER!

After around 10 years in operation and never achieving profitability, I would suggest there are no Board Members or Executive Managers worth investing in here. Seems like an interesting technology for the health care industry but, either it's not what it appears, a bad business model or a very incapable Board and management team. Maybe all of the above.

Conclusion,....there' a lot of health care technology investment opportunities out there. I wouldn't put a dime in Cardionet.
