I had a phone screening 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing since...Normal?

Hey everyone,

As stated above:

I submitted to an opening posted by Astellas - Check

Was contacted to do a preliminary phone screening - Check

Set a time/date for phone screening - Check

Phone screening went well - Check

...2 weeks have gone by

Now what?

If anyone has had a similar experience with Astellas and actually progressed to the next step in the interview process I would really appreciate any insight you can help out.

I have been with the company several years. it took them over 3 mos to give me a formal job offer when I was told I got the job. This is par for the course

figure out who they were talking to
during the interview.

What gives??? Read the blogs; this company is run by a bunch of incompetent and corrupt clowns. Your expecting astellas to conduct things professionaly????
Anyone competent managers gets chased out the door in year or two.

Okay...Time for the update.

Just received a "thanks but no thanks" email today that stated there were more qualified people applying for the position and they will not be moving forward with me...

Which probably means it's been too many weeks without any type of decision due to lack of talented HR people with this company. Cut this guy off in the process and we'll start over again with the many other shclubs just wanting to play the waiting game until we offer someone a real low salary.

You may not know it, but you are a lucky man to get that email!
